Green PR’s professional team is a unique blend of communications, branding, design, events and training experts with each possessing decades of forerunning experiences.

We have orchestrated and promoted over 400 environmental and sustainability awards
, conferences, stakeholder dialogues and public education seminars in collaboration with over 100 business, professional, government and community organizations, covering corporate social responsibility, climate change, air quality, green building, energy efficiency, waste management, environmental management, air quality and sustainable tourism, but to name a few.


Ms Estrid Wai, Managing Principal

For 18 years, Ms Estrid Wai has championed the communications, marketing and sustainability efforts for Ogilvy Public Relations, Business Environment Council, Ericsson China, Swire Properties, First Pacific Company, and Lippo’s AcrossAsia. Most recently, she served Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide as Chief Counsel of Ogilvy Earth responsbile for business planning and outreach development. Prior to joining Ogilvy PR, she was Head of Communications and Marketing of Business Environment Council, having revitalized its corporate face, new website, fundraising strategy, membership affairs, media relations in addition to its intensive events and training schedule including its Eco Products Award and Enviro Series conferences. 


Ms Estrid Wai is an award winning annual report producer acclaiming both local and international accolades. She also served on the Judging Panels of Capital Magazine’s Leadership Award, Hong Kong Economic Times’ Green Award, HK Graphic Arts Printing Association’s Printing Award and Hong Kong Institute of Marketing’s Marketing and Customer Care Award.


As a columnist, she contributed to business magazines such as Capital Entrepreneur and The Peak. As a visiting scholar, she advised, taught and researched for City University of Hong Kong, HKU SPACE and UK’s Edinburgh Napier University for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Courses include Innovation for Sustainability for Master of Science in Business Management, Postgraduate Executive Diploma in Entrepreneurship, Organization Culture & Communication, Promotional Writing and Business English.


As an able spokesperson, she has media-trained and advised countless C-suite executives. As a media veteran, her newsiness garners prominent and positive coverage. As a fundraiser, her connections attract an 8-digit financial and in-kind sponsorship from leading businesses. As a marketer, she has orchestrated and promoted a broad range of sustainability events, conferences and awards for businesses, government, not-for-profit organizations, professional associations and educational institutes.

Ms June Yao, Managing Consultant, Corporate Relations

She possesses over 15 years of business-to-business and business-to-consumer credentials. She has been responsible for business development, client servicing and project management, covering telecommunications, retail, tourism, hotel and catering sectors. She was Corporate Account Manager of PCCW Limited.


Previously, she worked for Marie-France and Inter-Continental Hotel. June has an MBA degree jointly offered by UK’s Sheffield University and Sweden’s Uppsala University. She speaks fluent English, Putonghua and Cantonese.


Professor Jeff Poon, Expert Advisor, Branding & Design

Professor Jeff Poon oversees design, branding, web and new media development. Most recently, he is Professor of Graphic Design at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) Hong Kong. He possesses two decades of design, advertising and interactive media, in managing, directing, designing and teaching in the US, Hong Kong and China. His specialties include: Logo and Trade Mark Design, Alternative Design Approaches, Business Practices for Graphic Design, Digital Page and Web Graphics.


Prior to joining SCAD, he served as regional graphic director for EDAW (now called AECOM) and as a web producer for He has worked for projects with local and international clients: American Greetings, Yves Saint Laurant, Crédit Agricole Asset Management, Dairy Farm, HK-BEAM Society, Shanghai Industrial Holding and VTech.

Dr Ester Leung, Expert Advisor, Cross Culture Translation & Interpretation

Dr Leung is currently Associate Professor of Hong Kong Baptist University.  For over 25 years, she has actively engaged in interpreting and translation related research, community education and services. Organisations and projects supported include: Legal Education Trust Fund, Children’s Council, Women and Sport Commission, Equestrian Olympic Games and Golden Jubilee Forum, International Conference on Gender Equity Education.


She is the first academic in Hong Kong designing and teaching medical interpreting courses. To advance language rights, she also pioneered the first interpreting trainer course for the ethnic minorities. Recently, she established the not-for-profit Multi-lingual Interpreters’ and Translators’ Association. She now teaches legal translation, interpreting and professional studies with the Translation Program of Hong Kong Baptist University. She holds a Ph D degree in Lingusitics of Lancaster University, the UK.


Mr Xingzhi Yao, Senior Designer

He has five years of graphic design and corporate visual identity experience with both business and government sectors. He specializes in corporate brochures, visual identity and packaging design. He has worked for a variety of clients and projects including Far East Horizon’s corporate brochures, McWong Environmental Technology’s annual report and product brochures, in addition to China Shanghai government’s Lujiazui District Yearbook for its financial and trade zone. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Communication Design.

Ms Lena Ko, Senior Translator & Associate

Lena supports digital communications, client training, copywriting and translation services. She possesses web, design and project management skills. She manages database, mass distribution, e-newsletters and event promotions. She is experienced with web content management system, programming, social media and online platforms. Her portfolio ranges from education, public, charity, medical, retail and transportation clients. She helps with research and preparation of plain language training and translation of annual report for the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority.


She assisted with the information analysis, editing and translation of the bilingual Sustainable Communication Toolkit. She is familiar with the principles of low carbon event management, web care for all, sustainable design and printing practice and sustainability reporting. She is a trained interpreter and translator between Putonghua/ Cantonese and English. As a conference interpreter, she is specialized in practical, media, commercial, public administration, scientific and technical translation. She is active in community service: a member of Caritas Smiling Angels of Tender Love and a volunteer of Orbis Moonwalkers. She is a Translation major with Hong Kong Baptist University's BA program. 

Ms Joey Ho, Creative & Copywriting Editor

Joey helps with creative writing, editing, designing layouts and visuals for a variety of communication vehicles. She finds pleasure in literature, music and movies and enjoys expressing her thoughts through organizing the mish mash of ideas and putting them into words. She seeks to connect and open up her world to those of others. She even invented her own blog last year, called "tsun", meaning wisdom, elegance, and creativity. She won various writing and service awards. She was the President of Hong Kong Red Cross Youth Unit 25, and has been active in youth and community services. She is an English major at the University of Iowa in the US, and was part of the creative team at the university literary magazine, Ink Lit Mag, where she participated in its creative decisions.
